NIGHT SAFARI
The main activities at Night Safari Singapore are riding the guided tram, exploring the four walking trails, and watching the animal presentations and performances. For the best experience, many recommend taking the tram first to get an overview of the park, then exploring the walking trails on foot.
Key Activities
Safari Adventure Tram: The complimentary tram ride is a 30-40 minute journey with English audio commentary that takes you through six geographical zones and past free-roaming animals like Malayan tapirs, elephants, and lions.
Walking Trails: There are four main walking trails you can explore at your own pace to see animals not visible from the tram, including the Leopard Trail, East Lodge Trail, Fishing Cat Trail, and Tasmanian Devil Trail.
Creatures of the Night Show: This popular 20-minute presentation in the amphitheater showcases the natural talents and behaviors of nocturnal animals like fennec foxes and Asian small-clawed otters. Seat bookings are required and can be made online or via a QR code at the entrance two hours before each show time.
Twilight Performance: This exciting pre-show at the entrance courtyard features a hybrid fire and dance performance (to be replaced with an LED light performance from April 10, 2025). No prior booking is required for this show.
Special Experiences: For a more exclusive visit, you can book a private Safari Adventure Tour with a personal guide and buggy, which includes reserved show seating and animal feeding sessions with Indian rhinos and Asian elephants. You may also find options for general animal feeding sessions or keeper talks where you can learn more about the animals’ care.
Tips for Your Visit
Book Online: It is mandatory to purchase your tickets online in advance to reserve your entry time slot.
Arrive Early: Arriving close to the opening time of 7:15 PM (last entry is at 11:15 PM) will give you enough time to enjoy all the activities.
Plan Your Route: A suggested itinerary is to do the walking trails first or after a later tram ride to avoid initial crowds for the early trams.
Be Prepared: Wear comfortable shoes and lightweight clothing, bring insect repellent, and remember that flash photography is not allowed to avoid disturbing the animals.
Dining: You can dine at the Ulu Ulu Safari Restaurant, but some visitors suggest eating dinner before you go to avoid the crowds.
